I still remember the face my mom made when I told her I’d gotten a tattoo. She was in shock, to put it mildly. I knew my mom, just like many other people from her generation, aren’t keen on tattoos but I still went ahead and did it.
As the stigma around tattoos slowly fades away, more and more people, just like I did, decide to get one or two tattoos, either for aesthetic reasons or to commemorate a special event or person, however, there are a few people that decide to take this passion to a whole other level.
Freaky Hoody
Sylvain Helaine, also known as Freaky Hoody, got his first tattoo when he was 27, 8 years and €60,000 later, he’s broken the record as the most tattooed man in France and not only does he not regret getting inked, he has no plans of stopping any time soon.
What started out as “just a sleeve” led to Sylvain now being covered in tattoos from head to toe, from the soles of his feet, to his torso, the palms of his hands, the entirety of his limbs, and even his eyeballs.
However, this may not be the most unusual thing about Sylvain Helaine, what many find truly surprising is what this man does for a living. Because apart from being a comedian and a model, Freaky Hoody is an elementary school teacher in Paris and, while he claims that his students aren’t scared of him (at least not after they get to know him), his appearance certainly must get a lot of double-takes from both parents and the school staff.
What do you think? Would you be able to look past this man’s tattoos or not? And why do you think so many have shown disapproval upon discovering he’s a school teacher?
