On a scale from 1 to 10, how good would you say is your willpower?

I would say mine is about a 6, good enough to get me going in life but not without some major internal fights.

As a society we tend to praise people with a strong willpower – they’re the ones that…

We all know, or at least have heard of, Elon Musk and we know whenever he’s in the limelight it’s usually because of something related to Tesla or his Space X program but recently it wasn’t one of his scientific endeavors that got him on the news.

On May 4th 2020, celebrating Star Wars Day wasn’t the only thing on Elon’s mind as he was preparing to welcome his seventh child (that’s right, seventh! Did you know he had another 6 children? Because I sure didn’t!). The little one soon got the media’s attention but there was something far more interesting than the fact that he was the billionaire’s child, his unique name: X Æ A-12.

Now, it’s not the first time a celebrity has decided to pick an unusual name for their kid, however, it may be the first time the public doesn’t really know how to pronounce it, which has left many confused.

What does mommy think about that? Apparently, Elon’s partner, the Canadian singer Grimes, is responsible for at least 50% of the name so it sounds like everybody was on board when they decided to get rid of the Baby Name book.

Musk later shed light on how to pronounce the name (ex-ash-a-twelve) and Grimes broke down the meaning behind each letter in a tweet:

Still confused? Honestly, so am I but that may very well be because I’ve always been bad at science. =D

However, there’s rumors the name might not even be considered legal in the state of California, where the child was born, which is not surprising considering the golden state is known to have some of the strictest naming laws in the country.

As we said before, celebrities have gotten creative before when it comes to naming their kids (take Apple Martin, daughter of Gwyneth Paltrow or, more recently, North, Kim Kardashian’s daughter).

What do you think of the name? Do you like the fact that it’s unusual or do you think a more conservative name would have been better?
